Boston College has received a $2.25 million, three-year grant from the Walton Family Foundation to fund an initiative aimed at increasing engagement and fulfillment for both students and educators in K-12 schools.

BC Professor Receives Grant to Research Role of Gut Microbes in Type 1 Diabetes

The Beatson Foundation awarded assistant professor of biology Emrah Altindis a two-year, $275,000 grant to support his lab’s research on how gut microbes affect Type 1 diabetes. The grant is only awarded to five U.S. research teams each year.

$3 Million Grant to Aid SSW Study on Intergenerational Trauma

The National Institute of Mental Health awarded Boston College’s Research Program on Children and Adversity (RPCA) a five-year, 3.3 million dollar grant that will advance the program’s research on the mental health effects of war on child soldiers in Sierra Leone, according to BC News.
