On Tuesday, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, BC ’09, delivered what is expected to be his final State of the City address, after being nominated last week by the Biden-Harris administration as Labor Secretary.

Mayor Walsh said at a press conference on Tuesday that the coronavirus has not affected plans to hold the Boston Marathon. He announced that the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade would be canceled.

Boston College’s Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy and the Joseph E. Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action, along with the City of Boston hosted lawmakers, businessmen, and academics to discuss the first Boston city-wide planning initiative in 50 years at the Imagine Boston 2030 Forum: “Making Choices for a Growing City," on Tuesday evening.
