The Eagles endured a difficult season that ended with the resignation of head coach Ashley Obrest, finishing the year 18-35 and just 4-20 in the ACC. BC won just one conference weekend series all season.

For the second year in a row, the Eagles walked away from Championship Sunday as national runner-ups, but it's what they accomplished before the final—recording a program-best 22 wins, claiming their first-ever ACC regular season championship, and returning to the title game—that will define the 2018 campaign.

Despite missing out on their ninth-straight NCAA Tournament, the Eagles finished with a winning record and reached the postseason for the first time since 2010-11.
