Urwa Hameed, MCAS ’22, was born and raised in Pakistan before immigrating to the United States. Hameed, who studies political science and international studies, now hopes that her new book, Steering Towards Change: Women Politicians Challenging Patriarchy, Class and Power in Pakistan, will inspire young Pakistani girls to run for office.
